Started from questioning why most of local farmers in Indonesia are included in the lowest class economy, Yohanes Sugihtononugroho started to approach local farmers to get the answer. He found out the main problems are the lack of knowledge about technology and how to manage capital properly.
Then Yohanes with his friend, Risyad Ganis, initiated a platform to collect fund from society as the venture capital for the farmers, named Crowde. Marketing strategies used to introduce this platform are door to door method, advertise its’ website in the mass media, and many other ways to market this platform.
They introduced crowde as the crowd-lending platform by manage the fund from the investors, later on, it will distributed to local farmers who need it. According to the data, 14,000 Indonesian local farmers have been facilitated by 20,000 investors with total transaction more than US$3,5 million.
With the right marketing strategies, Yohanes Sugihtononugroho is recorded as one of “30 under 30 Asia” list from Forbes 2018.
