[Apple Not To Be Seen Alongside Villains]
Apple as a leading tech company, has been renowned all over the globe. The iconic half-bitten apple logo on the back of iPhone is used by over 900 million people. Genuinely, this fascinating number has something to do with its brand image. But, did you know that the notable company apply unique strategy to regulate its brand image?
Brand image is the perception of consumer towards a particular brand; That is why Apple has long cultivated and strictly control how its products are used, regardless, on the film industry. Number 1 rule on the industry: Apple does not allow its kit to be used by any villainous character a.k.a the bad guys. “Apple, they let you use iPhones in movies, but – and this is very pivotal – if you’re ever watching a mystery movie, bad guys cannot have iPhones on camera,” Rian Johnson, whose credits include Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Looper and Knives Out, said.
The reason why Apple implement such policy, which is quite obvious, is that they don’t want their kits to stimulate negative vibe and thus hurting their brand image. Apple target its product to be in the best light that reflects favourably on Apple Inc. So, next time you see a particular character using an iPhone, you know that person isn’t the bad guy.
