With the appearance of a tweet from one of the world’s largest fast-food chains, McDonald’s, BTS managed to create a fresh surprise this April. McDonald’s made a surprise post on their Twitter (@McDonalds) about their deal with multinational K-pop boy group BTS. McDonald shared a picture of french fries shaped in layers to form the BTS logo, along with the words BTS and McDonald’s logo at the bottom, to commemorate their partnership on Twitter.
Furthermore, the fast-food franchise wrote: “Coming this May: The BTS Meal,” as well as the release date for their BTS partnership “menu” in many countries. Not just that, but via a brief video clip posted to their official TikTok account, fans were treated to the sight of familiar BTS members singing McDonald’s jingles.
Since HYBE did not have any signs or hints of a relationship between the boy group’s ‘Dynamite’ singer and the fast-food business that has exploded all over the world, this partnership was quickly welcomed by fans. While many fans on Twitter are talking about this thrilling news, the keywords “BTS X MCD” and “MCDONALDS” have climbed to the top of the trending column on Twitter Indonesia.
