[Coca-Cola: Rediscover Ourselves]
Coca-cola has finally released its first ever advertisement after COVID – 19 took hold. With the duration of one minute and thirty seconds to be exact, the advertisement reminds how the lockdown has allowed us to realise what matters in life, to rediscover ourselves and to re-appreciate what was always there, like spending time with our loved ones, cooking and eating together. Titled “The Great Meal” and featuring 13 real families from Kiev, Lisbon, London, Mexico City, Mumbai, Orlando and Shanghai all around the world.
”The day the world stopped is the day we found where to go”, a voice over in the background explains families tuck into a series of home-cooked meals, with Coca-cola as the star of place on their dinner tables. “The Great Meal” spot that released this week follows the theme of ads from previous year, showcasing people sharing meals in restaurants and drinking the soda, though the latest message has been updated to resonate with folks in the era of social distancing.
The advertisement will launch Coke’s program, “Together tastes better,” and will take in other assets across different media. Featuring real people and real families that was involved to create photography and additional film pieces that will come to life across multiple channels globally.
