[COVID-19: Your Favorite Coffee Shops ; At Home]
Since Patient-01 for Covid 19 was found on February 2020, President Jokowi has urged the society to start Working From Home/WFH from March 2020. During this pandemic, many businesses closed temporarily as part of the ongoing social distancing movement to fight COVID-19. Sales is slowly decreasing due to the fact that the constraint, and lack of customers within their brick-and-mortar stores .
Fortunately, one of the most famous local coffee joints in Jakarta;Tuku, can see this pandemic through different perspective which lead them to come up with game-changing ideas. The idea of selling their signature Es Kopi Susu Tetangga in a 1-liter Bottle is actually working to increase their diminishing sales. It is an alternative way for the consumers not to purchase their product repetitively during the social distancing movement.
The name itself, TUKUcur, is actually portmanteau of Tuku and kucur, which means “to pour out” in Indonesian. Consumer can easily get their hands with TUKUcur through e-commerce app, Tokopedia, for home delivery service. Other coffee shops such as Toko Kopi Djawa, Kopi Kemang, Kopi SANA, and many more see this act as a great idea to help reach out their consumers without direct contact.
