Friendsgaming Season: I’m Lovin’ It!
When you hear about McDonald’s campaign, maybe the first thing that comes to your mind is their viral BTS and Travis Scott collaboration that shook up their fandom. But have you ever imagined, the leading American fast food company is collaborating with an E-sport team?
On this year’s thanksgiving, McDonald’s is putting a fresh spin on the Friendsgiving tradition with a “Friendsgaming” live streaming event to bring together video game fans throughout the country. With the Friendsgaming concept, McDonald’s is seeking to adopt the appeal of Friendsgiving, where friends get together for a casual dinner a week before the actual Thanksgiving holiday, into the live streaming sphere.
Sandwich meal deals, gaming headphones, phone mounts, keyboard controllers, stickers, and insulated bags to keep food fresh.
The newest McDonald’s campaign shows its movement to connect its brand to a niche market, becoming a significant mandate for marketers handling mounting ad aversion and loyalty difficulties. Friendsgaming is also about bringing customers together virtually, a strategy that has become increasingly popular as companies and platforms invest in the concept of a metaverse that blurs real and digital lines.
McDonald’s and the famous US E-Sport team, FaZe Clan, are teaming up to create a Crispy Chicken Sandwich Expansion Pack. The collaboration pack includes a co-branded kit with delivery code DoorDash that includes chicken.
