‘Crazy Rich Asians’ reached the most popular box office in August 2018. For Warner Bros, it raked another $ 25 million, bringing its total box office to $ 76.8 million, according to Deadline.

Crazy Rich Asians have become a commercial success by targeting the Asian-American community without losing its main attraction as a romantic comedy. It highlights the common Hollywood blindspot that making a small group of people extremely happy is much more valuable than making a large group of people faintly content.

True fans are the most effective brand proponents and “word of mouth” remains the best form of marketing. Executives should listen more to customers and win by starting from a narrow segment.
