[Starbucks: Misspelled Name Theory]
Starbucks has been the alpha male in the coffee world for years. The shop sells 10 million cups of coffee daily, but there are things they are best-known as. Aside from the uncommon cup size name, Starbuck is renowned for misspelling customer’s name on a daily basis. However, there is one gripping theory regarding this incident.
Based on the 10 million cups sold every day, there are at least millions of people whose name are butchered or ragged on a Starbucks coffee cup every year. Then, what would this unfortunate one does? Naturally, they would take picture of the cup then upload it on their social media either Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. The photograph has 2 things in common, a misspelled name and the trademark green Siren logo. This results on a cost-less online advertisement for Starbucks.
The free ad is estimated to have value equal to 3 million USD and on top of that, the prominent coffee shop acquires those amounts effortlessly. This theory still seems reverie, there also a slight chance barista are misspelling names because they indeed are insanely busy. So, what do you think?
