[Teamed Up: Microsoft and Walmart Want In on TikTok]
Has an excellent reputation as a media for digital marketing and advertising in 2020, the competitive race to buy TikTok’s Operations in the United States, is also followed by a big bid from two big companies, Walmart and Microsoft. Walmart which partnering with Microsoft on a bid to win TikTok is one of a sign that the viral-video social media app will expand up the digital media sector nowadays.
Stated in Walmart’s announcement, “We believe a potential relationship with TikTok US in partnership with Microsoft could add this key functionality and provide Walmart with an important way for us to reach and serve omnichannel customers as well as grow our third-party marketplace and advertising businesses.” But, the TikTok’s owner company, ByteDance, has pointed out that they have to “seriously and carefully consider whether it is necessary to suspend substantive negotiations”.
With a substantial explosion in popularity and public attention, TikTok is widely known as an app for its endless scroll of much viral dancing, lip-sync, and many more videos. Because of that, there is a valuable marketing technology from this app. Even though, any deal that cap months of turbulence for TikTok, which has been under intense pressure, for now, is not a compelling reason for this social media app to not host its existence worldwide.
